This is a collection of some of my favorite songs that I’ve written, they show off some of my strengths as a singer/songwriter (as well as the skills of the fantastic musicians I’ve played with).

“Hope You Understand” -- “One of my favorite songs I’ve written.  It’s probably the most ‘me’ song and shows a lot of what Gypsy Mountain does well.  It has great harmonies by Wes, as usual.”

“Strangest Ways” -- “I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote this song.  It is constructed in an unusual manner.  I really don’t understand why it works, but it does.”

“Time For A Change” -- “This is one of my favorite songs to play live.  It was inspired most obviously by Chuck Berry, but it also has a little touch of The Beatles thrown in on the chorus.  Check out the great piano playing by Mike Gauthier on the third verse.”

“So Misunderstood” -- “was written by myself with Leigh James about a girl we knew named K.D. and features me on lead guitar.”

“Bring Me Down” -- “This song is from That Great Connection with me playing all the instruments, including e-bow.”

“Rock ‘N Roll” -- “is my rant on the state of the music industry today turned into a song.  It’s also about my experiences in garage bands as a kid.  One of my favorite parts of every Gypsy Mountain show is dragging out the end of this song with Bryan Shelby.”

“Faith, Hope, Love and Pride” -- was written in 1995 and was inspired by Dwight Yoakam’s “Ain’t That Lonely Yet.”

“It’s Not Always So Bad”  -- “recorded with Gypsy Mountain, but was originally on That Great Connection and was co-written with my friend, Bryan Copeland.”

By George” -- “This song is a tribute to one of my biggest influences, the late great George Harrison and what he brought to the table musically.”
